Interested in Becoming a Vendor at Wildcard?
We are always looking to add new items to our store, particularly handmade items from the Pittsburgh region.
Unfortunately we cannot accept submissions on a walk-in basis - we prefer all requests be made via email to vendor@wildcardpgh.com
If you think you have something we'd like to see, send us an email with:
1 - Your name and/or company name.
2 - A brief description of your work.
3 - A link to a website with photos of your work, or 2-3 photos of your work.
4 - The range of your retail prices.

Super****s: Art from the staff of The Andy Warhol Museum
Jan 13 - Feb 19
Andy Warhol's Superstars were an elite clique of personalities that gained notoriety and fame through their association with the infamous artist. They were heavily featured in Warhol's early works and their lives were immersed in the New York City art scene.
The staff of the Andy Warhol Museum are similarly immersed in the Pittsburgh art community. The artists featured in this show all have two things in common: they have worked as caretakers of Warhol's art by day and as fine artists by night.
Featured artists: Erin Philips, Katie Watson, Matthew Robison, Adrienne Rozzi, Joel Brown, Brad Heiple, Kathleen Guzowski, Ryan Emmett, & Elliot McNally. Helping to curate the show is Elliot McNally, whose Star Trek Quilts show was first seen at Wildcard in January 2010. Super****s opens on Friday January 13th and runs until February 19.
Join us for a free opening night reception on Friday, Jan 13 from 6 to 9pm!

Alternate Histories: A Living Dead History of Pittsburgh
Nov 17, 2011
After the success of Alternate Histories: Pittsburgh show in August 2010, Wildcard is pleased to present the follow up to that show, "The Living Dead History of Pittsburgh."
Ever since George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead revolutionized the zombie genre, Pittsburgh has been intertwined with tales of the living dead. This show, produced under Buchholz's Alternate Histories artist name, raises the question: What if Zombies had been in this area since the days of Fort Pitt and the founding of the city?
Original work and prints are available for sale. "The Living Dead History of Pittsburgh" runs at Wildcard through the end of December.

A Bee's Experience: A Group Paper Cut Show
Oct 7 2011
On Friday, October 7th from 6 to 9 pm, WildCard will host the world premiere of "A Bee's Experience," a group show featuring the paper cut work of Kathryn Carr, Bec Young, and Stacey Malasky.
The idea to collaborate on a paper cutting show was spurred by a casual conversation a year ago between Pittsburgh paper cut artists Bec Young and Kathryn Carr. Both desired to showcase the beauty and uniqueness of paper cut art. Young asked Stacey Malasky, a friend and fellow paper cut artist from Ohio, if she would like to be apart of the show as well. The three decided to focus their show on bees; Stacey is a bee keeper and all three ladies wanted to heighten public awareness of the plight of bees. ( Click here to learn more)
Forever Ago New Work by Mundania Horvath

Mundania, who grew up in the Pittsburgh area and moved back to the city in 2009, has long been fascinated with the images of industry surrounding the Three Rivers region. Says Mundania, "I enjoy taking apart found objects, using images from the past and typography to construct art that evokes a genuine reaction." Incorporating pop culture elements, text, and vintage photography, she is creating original collages on wood using paint and mixed media for this new show. Wildcard will also have Mundania Horvath's prints for sale, along with the first issue of Steeltown Anthem.

Jim Shearer
April 1, 2011
"Opening Day: Yinz Luv 'Da Buccos" Art Opening
Reception on April 1 from 8-10pm
Jim Shearer, the mastermind behind the web-series "Yinz Luv 'Da Guins" and "Yinz Luv 'Da Stillers," is answering a question he's been asked ever since he started his homemade, YouTube sports shows three years ago: Do yinz luv 'da Buccos? The answer is "yes." In "Opening Day: Yinz Luv 'Da Buccos" exhibit on display at Wildcard through the month of April, Shearer pays homage to the Pittsburgh Pirates of his youth (back when it was somewhat customary to end a season with more wins than losses) in a series of portraits of beloved players. Using the same art tools he wielded as a youngster, each image is created with colored pencils, crayons, magic markers, and watercolors.
Opening Night reception on Friday, April 1 from 8-10PM. The event is free and includes complimentary drinks and refreshments, along with a Pirates trivia contest and other surprises.

Pittsburgh Craft Collective: Dream Pillow Class
April 30, 2011
Join us for a Dream Pillow Class on Saturday, April 30 from 1 to 3pm! Instructor Abbey Bricker writes: "I have always loved to dream. In fact, there are some mornings when I purposely fall back asleep just to continue dreaming. Anything can happen while you are sleeping; you can relive beautiful moments from your waking life, or be with people that you love and miss. When I learned about dream pillows I was intrigued - the idea of influencing my dreams with lovely herbs tucked into a tiny pillow I made myself was definitely something I had to try!"
Dream pillows are easy to make and can be put to good use the same night they are made. Abbey provides most of the materials - you just need to bring cotton fabric (two strips, each 5" by 12") and thread, needles and pins.
